Grief Support Facilitator Training

Facilitator training is offered annually to teach people how to companion children, teens, and adults on their journeys of grief. No prior training or experience is required to participate in our facilitator training.

Volunteer facilitators also learn how to help create a safe, accepting space so that peers can support each other during groups.

After training, grief support facilitators then meet once a week with a particular age group. This time includes a support group with structured activities and free time for the children, and a pre and post group providing support and processing for facilitators.

This volunteer opportunity requires participation in our 4-day grief facilitator training prior to beginning.
Our next grief support facilitator training is scheduled for:

Saturday and Sunday July 31st – August 1st
AND
Saturday and Sunday August 14th and 15th, 2010
